Her story: Jamie Jackson, 33, was born in Ellicott City. She is a regional director at Griswold Home Care. Her father and mother, Keith and Dale, recently retired to Florida.

His story: Shawn Oles, 35, is a native of Perry Hall. He is the strategic operations manager and principal systems engineer at Cymertek. His mother, Jane Biondo Oles, lives in Perry Hall.

Their story: Jamie and Shawn met in March 2015 through Match.com. Their first date was on St. Patrick's Day at Houlihan's in Columbia. (Jamie's parents also met on St. Patrick's Day.)

“My first impression was that he was really attractive,” she said.

As the two talked, Jamie realized that they had a lot in common — including their love of attending sporting events, bike riding, traveling and the beach.

The couple live in Elkridge.

The proposal: In December 2015, the two visited Disney World with their families.

Shawn took Jamie to the wishing well at Cinderella's Castle and presented her with a glass slipper on a pillow.

“He had me make a wish in the wishing well,” she said. “He gave all these beautiful things but did not present me with a ring. I was a little disappointed but grateful for what he had done.”

The two went on several rides and planned to watch the Christmas parade. As the two walked toward the parade, Shawn saw that the crowd had gathered along the parade route, which left a large opening in front of Cinderella's Castle. He didn't waste the opportunity.

He got down on one knee and asked Jamie to marry him.

“I was truly shocked at this point and could not wait to spend the rest of my life with him,” she said. “Shawn planned the perfect proposal.”

Venue: About 170 guests attended the wedding and reception at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore.

Flowers and Decor: The wedding flowers — orange lilies, burgundy Gerbera daisies, mango-colored calla lilies, orange hypericum berries and orange roses — were done by Flowers by Audrey.

Her dress: Jamie wore an ivory, gold and silver V-neck, mermaid-style dress with lace and capped sleeves by Allure from Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection. The cathedral-length veil was from the Alfred Angelo Disney Fairy Tale Collection.

Bridesmaids' dresses: Bridesmaids wore cranberry-colored full-length dresses by Hanxue, featuring floral detail on the straps and sweetheart necklines.

Men's attire: Shawn and the groomsmen wore black Stafford suits with cranberry ties and vests from buyyourties.com.

The four-tier confection cake was from SugarBakers Cakes.
