Visitation for James ‘Jim’ Forrester
A visitation for James “Jim” Robert Forrester, 43, a Fells Point musician and body piercing artist who died Monday, will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today at Lilly & Zeiler Funeral Home, 1901 Eastern Ave.
Interment will be private.
Mr. Forrester, a body piercer at the Baltimore Tattoo Museum, was shot outside the shop Monday evening while making a telephone call, according to Baltimore police. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died.
A resident of Ranson, W.Va., he was a bassist and performed with the bands Foghound and Serpents of Secrecy. Chris Keaton, a longtime friend and owner of the Fells Point museum and shop, said Mr. Forrester had worked in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Forrester; parents, Robert H. Forrester Jr. and Sally Mae Forrester; and other relatives and friends, according to an obituary posted by the funeral home.
