Ravens’ Jeremy Maclin gobbles his first free crab cake
A month ago, Jeremy Maclin, then a free agent deciding between the seafood and Ravens of Baltimore and the cheesesteaks and Eagles of Philadelphia, was made an offer a Marylander can’t refuse.
Now that he’s officially on the Ravens, thanks to the two-year, $11 million deal they offered, Maclin is taking Jimmy’s Famous Seafood up on its offer of “free crab cakes for life.” On Sunday, the wide receiver tweeted a photo of himself and his wife, who grew up in Baltimore, at the restaurant.
John Minadakis, the CEO of Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, told ESPN that the offer is “not going to take us out of business. That’s for sure.”
How many visits this year it would take for Maclin to test the restaurant’s loyalty to its offer. Twenty? 100? Does the limit exist?
