“The Bachelorette” is coming to Baltimore.

On Monday night’s episode of the ABC dating show, contestant Eric Bigger opened up about his Baltimore upbringing to bachelorette Rachel Lindsay. She ultimately picked Bigger as one of the final four men vying for her heart, meaning the two will visit his hometown in this week’s episode

In a one-on-one discussion with Lindsay, Bigger talked about his tough childhood. Bigger said Baltimore is a “very challenging city” and he grew up uneasy, watching family members get high and friends die. The men in his life “were in the streets,” he said, dealing drugs and committing crimes.

Bigger, 29, also revealed to Lindsay that he’d never brought a woman home to meet his family before.

Lindsay ultimately chose Bigger to advance to the “hometowns” stage of the competition, when contestants bring the bachelorette to see the place where they grew up.

Bigger and Lindsay’s visit to Baltimore will air during the next episode of “The Bachelorette,” at 8 p.m. Monday on ABC.
