Josh Allen ran for a 26-yard touchdown on fourth down with 2:17 left, sealing the Bills’ 30-21 win over the Chiefs on Sunday in Orchard Park, New York, and handing the two-time defending Super Bowl champions their first loss of the season.

James Cook rushed for two TDs and Allen threw a 12-yard TD pass to Curtis Samuel for the Bills (9-2), who closed the gap on the Chiefs (9-1) in the race for the AFC’s top seed.

The Chiefs had won 15 in a row, including playoffs, since they fell 20-14 to the Raiders on Dec. 17, 2023.

The Bills have won six straight.

Allen played through a sore throwing hand, which was examined on the sideline during the game. He finished 27 of 40 for 262 yards with the TDs passing and rushing and an interception.

The rushing touchdown was the 58th of Allen’s career, moving him into second on the Bills list, one ahead of O.J. Simpson, and seven behind Thurman Thomas. Allen’s two-TD outing also increased his total to 244, tying Jim Kelly for first in team history.

Rams 28, Patriots 22: Matthew Stafford threw for 295 yards and four TDs to help the Rams pull away for the road win. The Rams have won four of five.

Colts 28, Jets 27: Anthony Richardson ran for a 4-yard TD, his second of the game, with 46 seconds left in his return to the starting role to lift the Colts on the road. The Colts snapped a three-game skid.

Lions 52, Jaguars 6: Jared Goff threw two of his four TD passes to Amon-Ra St. Brown, David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs combined for three rushing scores, and the host Lions improved to an NFC-best 9-1. They’ve won eight straight and nine of their first 10 in a season for the first time since 1934.

Saints 35, Browns 14: Taysom Hill capped a 138-yard, three-TD performance on the ground with a 75-yard scoring run, and the Saints improved to 2-0 under interim coach Darren Rizzi with the win at home.

Dolphins 34, Raiders 19: Tua Tagovailoa threw three TD passes, De’Von Achane ran for a score, and the host Dolphins won their second straight game.

Steelers 18, Ravens 16: Chris Boswell tied a team record with six FGs to lift the Steelers to their fifth straight victory.

Vikings 23, Titans 13: Sam Darnold tossed two TDs and ran for a score, and the visiting Vikings won their third straight.

Packers 20, Bears 19: Jordan Love ran for a go-ahead TD in the closing minutes, and the Packers hung on for the road win when Karl Brooks blocked Cairo Santos’ 46-yard FG attempt as time expired.

Broncos 38, Falcons 6: Bo Nix threw a season-high four TD passes and the Broncos rolled. Nix became just the second rookie QB to throw for 200 or more yards with multiple TDs in four consecutive home games. The only other one to accomplish that feat was Peyton Manning.

Seahawks 20, 49ers 17: Geno Smith scored on a 13-yard scramble with 12 seconds left, and the visiting Seahawks snapped a six-game losing streak against their NFC West rivals.
