Morgan Mahalak threw for two touchdowns as host Towson ended a six-game losing streak with a 23-6 win over Elon on Saturday.

Mahalak, making his return from an early-season shoulder injury, was 12-for-24 for 148 yards for the Tigers (2-7, 1-5 Colonial Athletic Association). Shane Simpson ran for a career-high 187 yards, and Aidan O'Neill kicked three field goals.

Mahalak threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Christian Summers in the first quarter, and O'Neill kicked field goals from 47 and 37 yards in the first half to give the Tigers a 13-3 advantage at halftime.

Elon's John Gallagher kicked his second field goal to cut the Towson lead to 13-6 with 1:14 left in the third quarter.

Mahalak found Andre Dessenberg for a 26-yard touchdown midway through the fourth, and O'Neill kicked his third field goal to make it 23-6 with 4:58 to play. Daniel Thompson passed for 130 yards for the Phoenix (2-7, 1-5).

Johns Hopkins 48, Franklin & Marshall 28: Jonathan Germano threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns, and Ryan Cary ran for 123 yards and two scores to help the Blue Jays (9-0, 8-0), ranked No. 7 in Division III, beat the Diplomats (6-2, 5-2) to clinch a share of their eighth straight Centennial Conference title and secure the league's automatic NCAA playoff bid.

Hopkins wide receiver Brett Caggiano threw his second touchdown pass of the season, a 47-yarder to Cary after a lateral from Germano, on the second play of a 55-yard drive for a 21-7 lead. The touchdown was the first of three straight scored by Cary.

Germano became the first player in school history to have a pass and rush of 75 yards or longer in the same game. His 79-yard run is the longest by a Blue Jay since Hari Lymon had a 79-yard run against Western Maryland (now McDaniel) in 1992.

Wilkes 38, Stevenson 35: The visiting Colonels (3-6, 2-6 Middle Atlantic Conference) outgained the Mustangs (8-1, 7-1) by 536 yards to 384 and scored the winning touchdown with 1:13 left to complete the upset.

Stevenson's loss ended a 10-game winning streak dating to last season.

The Mustangs are tied atop the league standings with Albright, a 43-14 winner over Misericordia. Stevenson holds the tiebreaker with the Lions and can secure the league's automatic NCAA berth with a win Saturday at Lycoming (3-6, 2-6) at 1 p.m.

Wesley 44, Salisbury 27: Nick Falkenberg threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns to lead the visiting Wolverines (7-2, 7-1 New Jersey Athletic Conference) over the Sea Gulls (7-2, 6-2), ranked No. 18 in Division III.

After taking a 27-13 halftime lead, Wesley scored 10 points in the third quarter and made it 44-13 early in the fourth on Falkenberg's 58-yard touchdown pass to Bryce Shade.

Ryan Kolb had 10 carries for 106 yards and Connor Canonico had 15 rushes for 78?yards for the Sea Gulls.

Bowie State 56, Elizabeth City State 7: The Bulldogs had 657 yards of total offense in a rout over the visiting Vikings (5-5, 4-3) to claim the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Northern Division title and earn a trip to championship game.

Amir Hall passed for 296 yards and three touchdowns, and Robert Chesson (Old Mill) had 17 carries for a career-high 223 yards and two touchdowns for Bowie State (7-3, 6-1), which will face Winston-Salem State for the second consecutive season for the CIAA championship Saturday at 2 p.m. in Salem, Va.

Frostburg State 24, Montclair State 6: The Bobcats (8-1, 7-1 NJAC) held the host Red Hawks (4-5, 3-5) to 78 yards of total offense and minus-8 rushing yards, intercepted three passes and limited John DiStefano, the conference's leading rusher, to 15 yards on 14 carries as Frostburg State earned its seventh straight win.

Connor Cox (South River) was 13 of 23 for 117 yards and two touchdowns, Russell Neverdon (Calvert Hall) had five catches for 69 yards and a score, and Jamaal Morant (Milford Mill) ran for 56 yards on 15 carries for Frostburg State, which is tied atop the conference with Wesley.

Susquehanna 37, McDaniel 20: Luke Robertson ran for 202 yards and two touchdowns to lead the visiting River Hawks (5-4, 5-3 Centennial) over the Green Terror (3-6, 3-5).

Perry Stefanelli had 18 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown and Bamasa Bailor caught six passes for 76 yards for McDaniel, which trailed 24-0 at halftime.
