Trailing 3-2 with six seconds left in the first half, Ben Reeves (two goals, one assist) started a 6-0 run by the No. 7 host Yale men's lacrosse team as it upended No. 4 Maryland, 8-5, Saturday.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 and the Terps fell to 1-1.

Yale's defense held Maryland to two goals in the second half. Michael Quinn led the Bulldog defense.

The Terps scooped up more groundballs, 33-13, won 13 of 16 faceoffs and outshot Yale, 34-24. Matt Rambo had one goal and three assists and Colin Heacock (Boys' Latin) had two goals and an assist for Maryland.

No. 6 Loyola Maryland 12, Lafayette 8: Greyhounds coach Charley Toomey earned his 100th win as Loyola (3-0, 1-0 Patriot League) beat the visiting Leopards (1-2, 0-1).

Zach Herreweyers and Pat Spencer (Boys' Latin) combined for six goals and four assists to lead the six-ranked Greyhounds' offensive effort, while Romar Dennis and Jay Drapeau each scored twice.

Toomey, who became Loyola's head coach in 2006, is the second coach in Loyola history to win 100 or more games, following his college coach, Dave Cottle who was 181-70 from 1983 to 2001 on the Evergreen campus.

Boston University 10, No. 16 Navy 9, 2OT: Christian Carson-Banister made five of his 15 saves in the overtime periods and James Burr scored the game-winner with 1:44 left in the second overtime as the host Terriers (4-1, 1-0 Patriot League) upset the Mids (2-2, 0-1).

Boston University went on a 2-0 run over the final 1:39 to force overtime. Both of Navy's losses have been in double overtime. They lost 12-11 in 2OT to Johns Hopkins on Feb. 9.

Terriers Burr and Jack Wilson and Navy's Casey Rees (Boys' Latin) all finished with three goals.

Salisbury 10, Gettysburg 7: The Sea Gulls (4-0) extended their one-goal lead with a 2-0 run in the fourth quarter to beat the host Bullets (1-1).

Nathan Blondino had three goals and one assist and James Burton had one goal and four assists for Salisbury.

No. 1 Notre Dame 14, Detroit 5: Mikey Wynne (St. Paul's) scored a game-high six goals to power the host Fighting Irish (3-0) past the Titans (0-3).

Notre Dame led 8-2 at the half and 12-2 after three quarters.

No. 2 Denver 18, Sacred Heart 7: Maryland transfer Connor Cannizzaro scored a game-high five goals to power host Denver (3-0) past Sacred Heart (2-2) at the Faceoff Classic.

Denver used a 7-0 run in the second quarter to take control. Matt Posch had three goals for Sacred Heart.

Air Force 9, Dartmouth 3: Chris Walsch (Gilman) and Christopher Allen each scored twice to lead the Falcons (2-2) past the Big Green (0-2) at the Faceoff Classic at Denver.

Dartmouth opened the scoring at 5:09 of the first quarter on a goal by Evan Key. After a goal by Falcon Marcus Ward, the Big Green struck again as Cody George scored at 6:29 of the second. From that point on, it was all Air Force.

No. 5 Duke 18, Jacksonville 5: Case Matheis recorded a career-high seven points (four goals, three assists) and Justin Guterding added six (three goals, three assists) to lead the Blue Devils (3-1) past the host Dolphins (2-2).

Myles Jones recorded his 100th career goal, becoming the first Duke midfielder with 100 career tallies.

No. 8 Brown 16, Stony Brook 14: The visiting Bears (2-0) were led by four three-goal scorers: Dylan Molloy, Henry Blynn, Kylor Bellistri and Brendan Caputo and beat the host Seawolves (2-1).

 Molloy, the nation's leading scorer a year ago, added six assists for a nine-point game, while Caputo and Bellistri added one assist each.

 Villanova 19, No. 12 Penn State 9: Jake Froccaro scored eight goals and an 8-3 run in the third quarter helped the Wildcats (1-1) upset the host Nittany Lions (3-1).

Froccaro scored four of the eight goals by Villanova in the third.

No. 13 Hofstra 11, Princeton 10, OT: Josh Byrne scored the game-winner with 3:46 left in overtime to lift the host Pride (2-0) over the Tigers (1-1).

Princeton scored twice over the final 5:21 to force overtime. Byrne finished with a game-high five goals.

No. 15 Harvard 10, Massachusetts 9, OT: Devin Dwyer scored the game-winner with 10 seconds left in overtime as the Crimson (3-0) beat the host Minutemen (1-2).

Harvard has won all three games this season in overtime.

No. 18 Albany 20, Drexel 14: The host Great Danes (1-1) used a 7-1 run in the fourth quarter to beat the Dragons (0-2).

Seth Oakes had six goals for Albany.

No. 19 Cornell 10, Hobart 8: John Edmonds had two goals and two assists to lead the Big Red (1-1) past the Statesmen (1-2) at West Palm Beach, Fla.

Cornell started the fourth quarter with a 3-0 run to key the win and extended its winning streak against Hobart to 12 games.

Colgate 11, No. 20 Bucknell 10, OT: Eric Foote scored the game-winner with 2:14 left in overtime to lift the host Raiders (2-1, 1-0 Patriot League) over the Bison (3-1, 0-1).

Bucknell trailed 10-8 with 13:57 left in the game. The Bison scored twice over the final 121/2 minutes to force overtime.

Bucknell will host Navy on Saturday at 1 p.m.
