The Orioles are looking for performers to suit up in ketchup, mustard and relish costumes and become “Camden Franks” for their famous hot dog races.

The position is year-round, according to the job description, which charges the mascots with embracing the persona of a Camden Frank, while positively representing the Orioles.

“New to the Baltimore Orioles in 2024, the Camden Franks have become a fan favorite, racing along the warning track head-to-head in the middle of the 4th inning,” the post reads.

A high school diploma is required, in addition to previous experience as a mascot performer. The job description previously said a four-year degree was preferred, but a spokesperson said that that was an error that has since been corrected.

Applicants should also be able to work 25% of Orioles home games and some off-season events while demonstrating “strong non-verbal communication skills.”

And of course, performers must be able to run from centerfield to first base, approximately 150 yards, in the iconic costume. To fit into it, candidates should be between 5’5” and 6’2.”

When not in costume, the hot dogs act as handlers during some home games.

The projected hourly pay is $15, according to the job description.
