6K gallons of milk spill on I-695 when tractor-trailer overturns

Motorists on Interstate 695 near Exit 24 in Towson might have noticed the smell of sour milk after a tractor-trailer overturned and spilled 6,000 gallons of milk early Saturday. The milk spilled onto the roadway and into a nearby creek around 1 a.m., according to a post on the social media platform X by the Maryland Department of the Environment.

No injuries were reported, and 75 gallons of diesel were recovered, the post reads.
