Penn drops Johns Hopkins in overtime, 11-10
Twelfth-ranked Penn handed host Johns Hopkins its first women’s lacrosse loss of the season, 11-10, in overtime on Saturday.
Erin Barry scored a free position goal with 3:59 to play in the first overtime to lift the Quakers over the 14th-ranked Blue Jays.
Gabby Rosenzweig had three goals and four assists for Penn (2-0).
Ellie McNulty (Broadneck) had two goals and two assists for Hopkins (2-1). Sophomore Shelby Harrison (St. Mary’s) notched her 100th career draw, becoming just the 11th player all-time in school history to reach the mark.
Megan Kotelchuck (Elizabeth Seton) had three goals and three assists while Annemarie Duerr (Chesapeake) added a hat trick of her own for the Green Terror (0-1).
Kate Kinsella and Alayna Pagnotta (Glenelg) each had a goal and an assist for the Mountaineers (2-1).
Junior attacker Logan Brennan scored two goals with an assist, while sophomore midfielder Charlotte Haggerty and junior attacker Kelsey Reed each scored twice for JMU (3-1).
Ashley Britton led the Panthers (1-2) with three goals and an assist,
Carter led the Nittany Lions with seven points, including her sixth six-goal performance of her career.
Senior Kayla Brisolari (Spalding) collected two goals and an assist, while junior Kristin Roberto scored twice.
Senior attacker Morgan Ryan led the way with four goals, while classmate Taylor Gebhardt managed the hat trick with a pair of assists for five points.
Claire Jarema, Colleen Grady and Courtney Dietzel scored for Drexel (1-2). Maggie Stetson had three assists for the Dragons.
