Twelfth-ranked Penn handed host Johns Hopkins its first women’s lacrosse loss of the season, 11-10, in overtime on Saturday.

Erin Barry scored a free position goal with 3:59 to play in the first overtime to lift the Quakers over the 14th-ranked Blue Jays.

Gabby Rosenzweig had three goals and four assists for Penn (2-0).

Ellie McNulty (Broadneck) had two goals and two assists for Hopkins (2-1). Sophomore Shelby Harrison (St. Mary’s) notched her 100th career draw, becoming just the 11th player all-time in school history to reach the mark.

St. Mary’s 18, McDaniel 11: Ali Collie (Dulaney) led the Seahawks with five goals and three assists and Kate Bartholomew (Kent County) also scored five goals for St. Mary’s (1-0).

Megan Kotelchuck (Elizabeth Seton) had three goals and three assists while Annemarie Duerr (Chesapeake) added a hat trick of her own for the Green Terror (0-1).

Gettysburg 17, Stevenson 3:Junior Liza Barr scored sixth points, including the 100th of her career, and junior Maria Nemeth and sophomore Kerry McKeever each provided hat tricks as the top-ranked Bullets (2-0) ran by the Mustangs in a non-conference game. Lindsay Seipp (Manchester Valley) scored two goals to lead the Mustangs (2-0).

Army 10, Mount St. Mary’s 6:Manuela Cortes netted a game-high three goals, while Caroline Raymond and Rilee Scott each added two goals for Army (5-0).

Kate Kinsella and Alayna Pagnotta (Glenelg) each had a goal and an assist for the Mountaineers (2-1).

No. 9 JMU 12, High Point 5: Senior attacker Hanna Haven registered four goals and four assists as the Dukes used a 7-0 run and a stifling defensive effort to upend the Panthers.

Junior attacker Logan Brennan scored two goals with an assist, while sophomore midfielder Charlotte Haggerty and junior attacker Kelsey Reed each scored twice for JMU (3-1).

No. 10 Penn State 14, Cornell 12:Senior Madison Carter (South River) tied a career-high with six goals to lead the Nittany Lions (3-0).

Carter led the Nittany Lions with seven points, including her sixth six-goal performance of her career.

Senior Kayla Brisolari (Spalding) collected two goals and an assist, while junior Kristin Roberto scored twice.

No. 19 Georgetown 16, Drexel 5: The Hoyas scored early and often to cruise to the victory and improve to 3-0.

Senior attacker Morgan Ryan led the way with four goals, while classmate Taylor Gebhardt managed the hat trick with a pair of assists for five points.

Claire Jarema, Colleen Grady and Courtney Dietzel scored for Drexel (1-2). Maggie Stetson had three assists for the Dragons.
