One person suffered minor injuries during a boat fire at Canton’s Anchorage Marina on Sunday night, according to a Baltimore City Fire Department official.

Crews were called to the scene around 6:17 p.m. for the report of a fire. When they arrived, crews located a burning boat occupied by two people, fire department spokesperson John Marsh said.

Both occupants self-evacuated the vessel, with one suffering minor injuries in need of medical assistance, according to Marsh.

Crews safely extinguished the fire through the use of land and water apparatuses, Marsh said.

He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
