Under Armour's women's apparel category reached $1 billion in sales last year — and ballerina Misty Copeland was a big part of that.

The American Ballet Theatre's principal dancer is featured in the “I Will What I Want” campaign, designed to attract women to the brand and continue to push women's sales. She was also featured in another big campaign, “Rule Yourself.”

Now Copeland has a new, mainstream platform that will broaden her profile — and Under Armour's by association. She's joining Disney's film adaptation of “The Nutcracker” in a lead role.

“I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazing project with Disney and the wonderful Lasse Hallstrom,” she announced on her Instagram account.
