Game maker Top Trumps USA is seeking Baltimoreans’ input on which Charm City locations, landmarks and businesses to feature in Monopoly: Baltimore Edition, which will hit shelves in late fall, the company said in a news release Tuesday.
“Baltimore is such a unique community with a rich history. We aim to ensure that MONOPOLY: BALTIMORE Edition is an accurate portrayal of what Baltimore locals and tourists love about this charming city,” said Tim Barney, a Top Trumps representative, in the release.
Each organization needs to have longevity, an established legacy, credibility and community engagement, he said.
“It’s all about immortalizing the best of the best in our game. We’re looking for the places and things that are quintessentially Baltimore and that truly call it home,” Barney said.
Selected locations and businesses might feature as properties on the board, on Community Chest cards, the box’s lid or the board montage, the release says. Usually, Top Trumps picks 20 to 30 organizations in all.
The company expects to wrap up selections by the first week of April, but decisions are made on a rolling basis, according to the release.
“So, don’t wait to submit until then!” Barney said.
Feedback can be given through the company’s website or via email at baltimore@toptrumps.com.
