All-Star Game: The Mets’ Kodai Senga, Giants’ Alex Cobb, Phillies’ Craig Kimbrel and Brewers’ Corbin Burnes were added to the National League All-Star roster as replacements for pitchers who will be inactive for Tuesday’s game. The Twins’ Pablo López joined the American League roster on Saturday and becomes an All-Star along with the player he was traded for last winter, Marlins second baseman Luis Arraez. The Braves’ Bruce Elder and Spencer Strider won’t pitch in the game, along with the Cubs’ Marcus Stroman and Brewers’ Devin Williams. Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge, Angels center fielder Mike Trout, Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez, Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan, Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw and Cubs shortstop Dansby Swanson were dropped earlier in the week because of injuries and Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase decided to skip the game because of the imminent birth of a child.

Giants: Michael Conforto and Austin Slater hit two-run homers to lead the Giants to a 5-3 win over the Rockies on Saturday. Blake Sabol added an RBI single as the Giants evened the three-game series at a game apiece.

Orioles: Orioles got all their offense in one inning, Tyler Wells threw six solid innings and they beat the Twins 6-2 Saturday. Adam Frazier had two RBIs for the Orioles, who had all their hits and runs in the second inning en route to its fourth straight win. Donovan Solano had three doubles for the Twins. Winning for the first time in four starts, Wells allowed six hits and struck out four in his eighth straight start without allowing more than two earned runs.

Yankees: Giancarlo Stanton hit a mammoth homer in the first inning and added a two-run homer after a video review in the fifth and the New York Yankees beat the Cubs 6-3 Saturday. Josh Donaldson hit his 10th homer and Harrison Bader hit a two-run double as the Yankees avoided their third four-game losing streak this year. After being held to two singles in Friday’s series opener, the Yankees improved to 14-16 since losing Aaron Judge to a torn ligament in his right big toe on June 3. “Better across the board,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone said.

Rays: Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen needs a third elbow surgery. Rasmussen’s surgery is scheduled for July 24, and the procedure will be done by Dr. Keith Meister, Rays manager Kevin Cash said before Saturday’s game against the Braves. “Unfortunately, he’s going to miss the rest of the year,” Cash said. “He will get what they’re calling the brace put in. I know that the doctor that he talked to, Dr. Meister, just felt like this is probably the best course of action to get him back on the field as quick as possible and as healthy as possible.”

Phillies: Phillies slugger Bryce Harper was struck on his surgically repaired right elbow by a pitch from Marlins starter Braxton Garrett in the third inning on Saturday, forcing him to leave the game after the inning concluded.

Diamondbacks: Corbin Carroll singled with the bases loaded in the 10th and the NL West-leading Diamondbacks rallied to beat the Pirates 3-2 on Saturday. Alek Thomas homered to tie it in the eighth, then singled in the tying run in the 10th.
