1. Gilman

Postseason: MIAA title meet champion

Outlook: The Greyhounds won the MIAA indoor championship by a comfortable margin over Mount Saint Joseph and have the talent and depth to repeat as champions.

2. Dulaney

Postseason: Seventh in Class 4A state meet

Outlook: The Lions finished second in the state at the 4A indoor championships, scoring 41.50 points, and can make a run at capturing a state title this year while defending the Baltimore County outdoor title they won by 41 points.

3. Century

Postseason: Class 2A state champions

Outlook: The Knights captured the 2A state indoor championship, scoring 50 points, and will look to repeat as Carroll County, region and state champions.

4. New Town

Postseason: Tied for 17th in Class 2A state meet

Outlook: The Titans are coming off an impressive indoor season in which they finish third at the state meet, just two points behind champion Century. New Town is led by the dynamic duo of Brandon James and Jordan Cofield.

5. Mount Saint Joseph

Postseason: Second in MIAA title meet

Outlook: The Gaels will likely finish second in the MIAA after finishing second to McDonogh during the indoor season. Hunter Petrik is one of the top distance runners in the area and can help the Gaels compete at any meet.

6. Reservoir

Postseason: 11th in 3A state meet

Outlook: The Gators finished one point away from a state championship at the 3A indoor meet, falling 54-53 to Linganore.

7. Broadneck

Postseason: Fifth in 4A state meet

Outlook: The Bruins have a rising star in the shot put in Elian Ahmar, who will combine with Jaren Baluyot in the pole vault to give the Bruins a lot of field points to compete at the state level.

8. Northeast

Postseason: Tied for second in 3A state meet

Outlook: The Eagles had their best finish in school history last season, a second-place tie at the state meet with Poly, and hope to replicate that success on the strength of sprinters Davon Carroll and Demontay Snowden.

9. McDonogh

Postseason: Third in MIAA title meet

Outlook: The Eagles will do most of their damage in the sprints on the strength of Jordan Ross and DeJuan Ellis while D’Von Ellies should score big points in the shot put.

10. Milford Mill

Postseason: Tied for 11th in 3A state meet

Outlook: The Millers finished in sixth place at the 3A indoor state meet and will rely heavily on the talented Aariq Nixon to help them score points.
