Barnes & Noble, one the country’s largest bookstore chains, is coming to the Westminster Crossing West shopping center this summer.
The store, which will be the first to open in Carroll County, is expected to be 27,500 square feet, according to a news release from Greenberg Gibbons, a Baltimore-based commercial real estate company.
“We’re proud to welcome Barnes & Noble to the Carroll County community and offer residents an exciting place to shop, read and gather with family and friends,” said Tracey Holehan, Senior Vice President for Greenberg Gibbons.
This Barnes & Noble location, like others, will sell books, along with toys, games, puzzles and gifts. The store is expected to also include “comfortable and cozy spaces” for customers to read, an expansive kids department and a café, according to the release.
Interior construction is expected to occur in an already-existing space within the shopping center. There are 11 Barnes & Noble locations in Maryland, and new stores set to open in Westminster and Pasadena will bring that number to 13.
Westminster Crossing West is located at Englar Drive and Route 140 in Westminster.
