Butler’s 6 goals send Mount to 16-5 win; Towson falls to Stony Brook
Jordan Butler (John Carroll) scored a game-high six goals to lead host Mount St. Mary’s to a 16-5 victory over La Salle in women’s lacrosse Friday.
The Mount (3-1) trailed the Explorers (1-3), 1-0, before reeling off five straight goals.
No. 10 Stony Brook 14, Towson 8: Rayna Deltuva (Manchester Valley) had a hat trick, but the host Tigers (0-4) fell to the Seawolves (2-1).

No. 6 Duke 11, No. 14 Richmond 7: Joe Robertson and Brad Smith each had a hat trick to lead the visiting Blue Devils (5-1) past the Spiders (3-2).

No. 1 Boston College 12, No. 17 Southern California 9: Sam Apuzzo scored five goals and the host Eagles (6-0) took an 8-3 lead over the Trojans (3-1). Abbey Ngai had 12 stops for Boston College, which travels to Navy Wednesday at 7 p.m.
No. 9 James Madison 21, Canisius 4: Trailing 1-0 to the Griffins (0-4), the host Dukes (4-1) answered with a 15-0 run.
No. 16 Duke 19, William & Mary 3: Charlotte North had seven goals and Gabbe Cadoux (McDonogh) made four saves as the host Blue Devils (4-1) routed the Tribe (2-2) on the turf fields.
