Packages were stolen from a FedEx truck after the driver was the victim of an armed carjacking Friday afternoon, according to Baltimore Police.
Police said on Dec. 13 at 2:17 p.m., officers responded to a report of an armed carjacking of a FedEx truck on the 1900 block of Druid Hill Avenue.
Authorities were able to track the vehicle through the air and remotely via GPS, locating it on the 1400 block of North Parrish Street.
They then found four people stealing packages from the truck, officials reported. The four were interviewed by citywide robbery investigators and given citations, according to police.
An investigation revealed that two suspects approached the parked vehicle on the 1900 block of Druid Hill Avenue.
When they entered the truck, the FedEx driver attempted to intervene, pulling a suspect out of the vehicle and fighting with them, according to the report. During that time, the other suspect “gestured that he was armed, showing an L shape in the front of his hoodie front pocket,” an officer said.
This led to one of the suspects re-entering the FedEx truck and driving away. The other suspect followed behind in a Ford sedan.
Police have not been able to locate the two suspects.
The FedEx truck has since been recovered and the driver was examined for injuries. All property stolen from the truck has also been recovered, according to police.
