A 27-year old woman was killed after her car crashed into a tree and caught fire in the 2700 block of West Northern Parkway early Saturday morning, according to Baltimore Police.

Police said the woman was driving eastbound on Northern Parkway at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred before 3 a.m. Occupants from passing vehicles stopped and pulled the victim out of the car before medics responded to the scene.

The woman was transported to Sinai Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Crash Team investigators responded to the scene and assumed control over the investigation. Police have not released the name of the deceased.
