New Year’s Eve Spectacular in the Inner Harbor: Downtown Baltimore’s annual free celebration kicks off at 9 p.m. with music from Alexis Joyce at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. Lots of family-friendly festivities, finishing with fireworks at midnight. promotionandarts.org.

NYE Live! at Power Plant Live: The various bars in Power Plant Live, 34 Market Place, will be offering all-inclusive food and drink from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. There will also be DJ performances, a balloon drop, laser shows and — of course — the Times Square ball drop projected on the big screen at midnight. $105-$115. nye-live.com/baltimore

Midnight Noon at Maryland Science Center: For the kids (or adults, no judgment) who can’t stay up until midnight. The Maryland Science Center, 601 Light St., will offer all the fun of New Year’s Eve during the day — including a daytime ball drop. Noontime New Year’s at Port Discovery: Another daytime alternative, at Port Discovery Children’s Museum, 35 Market Place. Activities, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., include live music (from The Kolodners, DJ Holly, the Kindersinger and Mr. Don’s Music), an “ice” scooter rink, “Cool Science with Eric Energy,” and a juice and cookies toast. $15.95; free for children under 2. portdiscovery.org.

Annapolis New Year’s Eve Celebration: Maryland’s capital will host two rounds of celebrations. The first, a family-friendly event, will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Wheems-Whalen Memorial Field, 935 Spa Road, and will feature moon bounces, crafts and more, and topping off with a fireworks display at 5:30 p.m. The whole thing starts again at 8 p.m. at City Dock and Susan Campbell Park, with live music and more fireworks. New Year’s Eve cruises: Spirit Cruises has several New Year’s Eve options, depending on how much you want to spend, how long you want to be on the water, and how nice you want the booze to be. Fireworks cruises board at 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the Inner Harbor; $149.90-$309.90. There’s also a family-friendly lunchtime cruise boarding at noon; $38.50-$69.90.

New Year’s Eve Gala at Sagamore Pendry: The Fells Point hotel hosts a “Great Gatsby”-themed party, complete with an open bar, raw bar and music from the Hudson Project Band. $475 per person, $900 for two. pendryhotels.com/baltimore.

Charm City Countdown: This 10th annual celebration takes on a “Chicago” theme, with a roaring ’20s vibe. Complete with DJ, open bar, live cover band, a “digital graffiti wall” and over 12 “party zones.” Plus a red carpet for photo ops. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. at the Baltimore Hilton — BWI, 1739 W.
