Truck crashes into Convention Center
A tractor-trailer crashed into the side of the Baltimore Convention Center early Wednesday morning.
A Baltimore police spokesperson said the accident occurred at 1:41 a.m.
The driver said that he was trying to make a right turn off of Interstate 395 onto Conway Street but couldn’t see through the fog.
The crash was cleaned up before 3 a.m., according to Jennifer Douglass, communications and marketing manager for the Baltimore Convention Center.
Douglass said there were no injuries associated with the crash, but the convention center is calling a structural architectural firm because of damage to its outdoor patio wall.
The driver was not injured, but parts of Conway Street were closed for a short time.
