Curley has appointed 1995 graduate Greg Loftus its next athletic director, the school said Wednesday.
He replaces Justin Gordon, a 2008 graduate who spent three years at the position before accepting the same post at St. Timothy’s.
Loftus, a Mount St. Mary’s graduate who earned a bachelor’s degree in business, has been at Curley for eight years, serving as a teacher and, most recently, the director of alumni at Curley. He’s also been the junior varsity soccer coach.
“I look forward to working with Greg in his new role. He is committed to the school’s mission and has served the school in a variety of capacities. He represented the school well as a student-athlete and later as a coach. He will bring that same approach to his duties as Athletic Director,” Curley principal Jeremy Joseph wrote in an email.
Loftus looks forward to serving in his new role and carrying on the athletic program’s mission.
“My eight years back at (Curley) have been both meaningful and rewarding,” Loftus said. “While I will miss my daily interactions with the advancement staff and the relationships I have built with our alumni, I’m excited about the opportunity to support them in a new capacity and to continue building strong relationships within our athletic community.”
