Ravens defensive line coach Joe Cullen is joining the Jacksonville Jaguars as the team’s next defensive coordinator, according to multiple reports, making him the third defensive assistant to leave the staff since the season ended.

Cullen had spent the last five seasons with the Ravens. In Jacksonville, Cullen will work under new head coach Urban Meyer and return to a franchise where he served as defensive line coach from 2010-12. This will be Cullen’s first NFL coordinator opportunity. He previously served as defensive coordinator at Richmond and Indiana.

The Ravens also lost former linebackers coach Mike Macdonald, who joined Michigan as its defensive coordinator. And defensive backs coach Jesse Minter is expected to join Vanderbilt as its defensive coordinator, according to multiple reports.

Coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday at his season-ending news conference that he expects to retain offensive coordinator Greg Roman and defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale, barring any late calls for a head coaching opportunity.

Restaurant support

Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott announced Wednesday that he will allow indoor and outdoor dining to resume starting Friday at a limited capacity.

In the meantime, members of the Ravens organization have stepped up to help support restaurants that have been financially affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

Players such as cornerback Marlon Humphrey and left tackle Ronnie Stanley, along with defensive coordinator Don “Wink” Martindale and the family of general manager Eric DeCosta, have all donated thousands as part of a movement coordinated by Jimmy’s Famous Seafood owner John Minadakis to help local restaurants and bars. Humphrey and Stanley donated $10,000 each.

The GoFundMe established by Minadakis had raised over $160,000 in just two days. The movement, inspired by Dave Portnoy & The Barstool Fund, a fundraiser created to assist small business owners, will use its proceeds to assist Sliders Bar & Grille, The Chasseur, G & A Restaurant, The Angle Inn and Shotti’s Point Charm City.

“The most beautiful part of this town is its ability to rise up and come together when facing adversity,” Minadakis wrote on the GoFundMe page. “Let’s do the right thing, and ensure we are able to enjoy a delicious meal and cold beer together when things return to normal.”
