In the seven years that Meghan McGee, 34, has co-chaired CFF’s “Passion for Food and Wine” with her husband and event co-founder, Mack McGee, she said she’s learned a few things about what to wear to the party.

“We walk around [the party] a lot. So comfort is key. I’m a person who tends to feel chilly, especially in these ballroom kinds of things. In the past, you would have seen me sitting there in my husband’s jacket. But I try to avoid that now. That’s why I went with the pants,” said the Reisterstown resident.

“I don’t care how good [shoes] look. If I can’t walk around for more than a few minutes in them, I’m not going to buy them,” she said.

But looking good still mattered to the Camden Partners partner, something else she said she’s also learned from the experience.

“Every year, they post the photos of the event of the previous year to raise awareness and give people an idea of what to wear this year. In past years, as I’ve scrolled through the photos, I’ve thought, ‘Gosh, what was I thinking wearing that?’ So, as the years have gone on, I keep in mind that I’ll be seeing the photos from this year’s event next year,” she said with a laugh.
