Officers responded to the crash just before midnight Thursday on Generals Highway near Knollwood Drive in Annapolis. Jonathan Rober, 47, was traveling northwest in his 2015 Hyundai Sonata when it crossed the center line, striking a 1997 Toyota 4Runner head-on. Rober was taken to Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center where he died, according to a news release.
There were two passengers, both identified as 26-year-old women from Annapolis, in the Toyota when the crash happened. Both were transported to different regional hospitals for nonlife-threatening injuries, according to the release. The driver of the Toyota, a 38-year-old man, was not injured. The Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating. No arrests have been made as of Friday afternoon, according to Marc Limansky, spokesperson for Anne Arundel police.
