Red Bull Amaphiko is back for its second year in Baltimore to host the Red Bull Amaphiko Festival in August, a three-day event featuring performances, workshops and events to celebrate social innovation and creativity in the city, according to a recent press release.

The global program debuted its first U.S. Red Bull Amaphiko Academy in Baltimore last summer, hosting an 18-month program that supports social entrepreneurs and equips them with tools, skills and mentors. The program similarly hosted a festival last year that the public could attend. This year, the festival will run Aug. 17-19, featuring a young entrepreneurs workshop, a night of storytelling with innovators, a block party complete with performances by female artists within Baltimore and Philly Club scenes, and a Sunday Summit.

Six of the program’s 15 alumni, who are local, will participate by speaking, hosting workshops or performing.

“It’s gratifying to see Baltimore and all the outstanding social innovation happening here in the global spotlight,” said Brittany Young, 2017 fellow and founder of B-360. “Being selected for Red Bull Amaphiko Academy kicked off an outstanding year for me and for B-360, so it’s great to welcome the Red Bull team back to our city one year later to reflect and celebrate.”
