His story: David William Rosh, 34, was born in Washington and raised in Reston, Va. He works as an information technology project manager at IBM. His parents, Ronnie Rosh and Arlene Rosh, live in Herndon, Va.

Their story: After connecting on the dating app Tinder, the couple went out for sushi Sept. 10, 2013, in Old Town Alexandria, Va.

“Before meeting in person, I thought that he was very handsome via pictures,” Megan recalled. “I was also very impressed that he actually took the time to call me before our first date, which is unusual for men on dating apps.

“Upon meeting, I was impressed that he was mature and had his life together.”

The couple lived in Canton for a year before moving to Aldie, Va., where they live now.

The proposal: Dave proposed on Valentine's Day in 2015.

He picked up Megan from work in Baltimore and the two drove to Alexandria to go to dinner at the restaurant where they went on their first date, Momo Sushi. Dave parked the car a few blocks away from the restaurant, where they “happened” to bump into his former roommate.

“We stopped at a street corner to talk to his roommate, and Dave got down on one knee and proposed,” Megan said. “It turns out that his old roommate was there to video the proposal, and the street corner was the spot where he very first saw me as I was walking into the restaurant.”

Venue: One hundred and forty-five people attended the wedding and reception at the Mount Washington Mill Dye House.

Flowers and decor: Ann's Garden provided the flowers, which Megan said were “stunning.” She added: “We wanted a romantic and rustic feel for the day. We chose the venue first, and used Pinterest to get ideas for the flowers and the decor. I knew from the beginning that I wanted twinkle lights in the venue to bring a romantic feel.”

Dave selected the wedding colors: lavender and white.

Her dress: Megan wore a lace, flared champagne-colored dress by Maggie Sottero from Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection.

Bridesmaids' dresses: The bridesmaids wore lavender knee-length dresses by Sorella Vita from Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection.

Men's attire: Dave wore a Hugo Boss suit from Nordstrom. The groomsmen's suits were from Menguin.

Music: The DJ was from Washington Talent Agency.

The couple's first dance was to “Crazy Girl” by the Eli Young Band.

Food and dessert: Linwoods provided the food and cake.

Appetizers included: tuna tacos; roasted mango and shrimp lollipops; jumbo lump crab cakes; thin-crust brick-oven pizza: Gruyere tartlets; and open-face mini cheeseburgers. Dinner consisted of pecan-crusted wild rockfish and tenderloin medallions.

Favors: Guests received crab mallets.

Special touches: The couple honeymooned in Italy for two weeks, visiting Rome, Florence, Cinque Terre, Venice, Sorrento, Amalfi and Capri.
