NO. 6 NOTRE DAME (10-2)
@NO. 3 NORTH CAROLINA (9-2)
Sunday, noon
Outlook: In a clash of two of the top contenders in the ACC, the Tar Heels are 3-0 and the Irish 3-2 in the conference. Both Notre Dame losses were by a single goal, to No.?4 Syracuse and No. 5 Louisville. North Carolina has won all four meetings in the series. Last year, the Tar Heels won 9-8 during the regular season and 18-4 in the ACC semifinal. Still, the Irish have one of the top defenses in Division I, led by last season's ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Barbara Sullivan, who has 41 caused turnovers this spring. With a strong, balanced offense, North Carolina has won six in a row, but has struggled in the second half, with three of its past five wins coming by a single goal.
