“At Eternity’s Gate”

Drama, PG-13. Julian Schnabel directs Willem Dafoe in a portrayal of Vincent van Gogh during his time in Arles and Auvers-sur-Oise, France. Oscar Isaac plays van Gogh’s friend and fellow artist Paul Gauguin.

“Creed II”

Drama, PG-13. Boxing champ Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) agrees to fight Viktor Drago, the son of Ivan Drago, who killed Creed’s father, Apollo. Sylvester Stallone returns as Adonis’ coach.

“Green Book”

Drama, PG-13. An African-American classical pianist (Oscar winner Mahershala Ali) must hire a driver (Viggo Mortensen) to accompany him on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South.

“Ralph Breaks the Internet”

Comedy/family, PG. In this animated sequel, Ralph (John C. Reilly) and Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) discover they can enter the world outside the arcade.

“Robin Hood”

Action, PG-13. Taron Egerton of the “Kingsman” movie franchise plays the thief who shares his loot with the poor, but Jamie Foxx could steal the show. Ben Mendelsohn is the evil sheriff of Nottingham, of course.

“The Favourite”

Drama, R. When Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) becomes ill, her friend (Rachel Weisz) helps her govern. The arrival of a new servant (Emma Stone) upsets order in the castle.

“Becoming Astrid”

Biopic, not yet rated. The early adult years of “Pippi Longstocking” author Astrid Lindgren are chronicled as she leaves her family farm to work as an intern at a newspaper.

“Anna and the Apocalypse”

Comedy/horror/musical, R. During Christmas in a small British town, Anna (Ella Hunt) and her friends find their hearts full of song while doing battle with zombies.
