Maryland voter registration deadline is near
Maryland residents who wish to vote on Election Day in November must register to do so by Oct. 18.
Voters can register online at the Maryland State Board of Elections website. They can also print an application from the website and mail it to their local board of elections or the state board.
Applications can be completed in person at these locations:
Registration is allowed during early voting, too. Voters must take a document that proves where they live, such as a driver's license, bank statement, utility bill or government document, to an early-voting center in their county.
Early voting will take place between Oct. 27 and Nov. 3. The voting centers are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Election Day is Nov. 8.
Eligible voters are U.S. citizens at least 18 years or older. The Maryland General Assembly passed a law this year that allows released felons to vote.
