No. 2 Dunbar continued its slide with a second loss this week, falling 63-57 to Edmondson in boys basketball Thursday.

The Poets (13-2) lost, 58-50, to No. 6 McDonogh on Monday.

The Red Storm (10-2) took control early and held Dunbar to 14 points in the first half. Frankye Duckett scored a game-high 16 points and Teon Gardner had 13 points for Edmondson.

Assistant coach Jeffrey Young said Edmondson “controlled the tempo” in the first half, but turnovers in the second half allowed Dunbar to cut the lead to five.
