Knights’ Stastny may miss 2 months
Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant said Monday that center Paul Stastny could miss two months with a lower-body injury.
Gallant initially had said Stastny would be out at least three games after the veteran player suffered the injury in a game against the Sabres on Oct. 3.
Penguins D Justin Schultz had surgery to repair a broken left leg and will miss four months. ... Canucks F Elias Pettersson will sit out seven to 10 days with a concussion. Pettersson was smashed to the ice by Panthers D Mike Matheson on Saturday. Matheson drew a two-game ban. ... The Avalanche claimed F Marko Dano, 23, off waivers from the Jets. ...
