Pelicans’ Davis: It’s time to move on
Anthony Davis said he feels like it’s his time now, that he’s given all he can to the Pelicans and that he’s ready to move on from the team.
The All-Star informed the club that he would like to be traded but said Friday that his intention is to play as long as he’s a member of the Pelicans organization.
Davis, who has been sidelined with a sprained left index finger, said “obviously it’s a tough situation but my intention is to still play and when I’m able to play I’m going to suit up.”
Paul George scored 43 points and had a career-high 10 3-pointers, Dennis Schroder scored 24 of his 28 points in the second quarter and the Thunder extended the league’s longest current winning streak to seven games by beating the Heat 118-102 in Miami. Russell Westbrook got his fifth straight triple-double and 18th of the season, finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists in the win. ...
