Jewelry brand Gorjana is expanding in Maryland with a store opening next month at Baltimore’s Harbor East.
The fast-growing retailer, based in Laguna Beach, California, and known for its layered, mix and match style, will open Aug. 16 in a 1,350-square-foot shop at 618 S. Exeter St. Its designs feature gold jewelry with diamonds, opals, sapphires and other gemstones.
The store will be the brand’s first in Baltimore and the second in the state. It opened a store in 2021 on Bethesda Avenue in the unincorporated city’s Bethesda Row. Co-founded by Gorjana Reidel in 2004, Gorjana has been expanding nationally and now has 80 stores in the U.S.
Harbor East, a waterfront neighborhood east of the Inner Harbor, has positioned itself as a destination for upscale shops and restaurants. “The addition of their storefront highlights Harbor East as the perfect destination for nationally recognized brands to expand into the Baltimore market,” said Tim O’Donald, president of Harbor East Management, in a news release.
The Harbor East store space that Gorjana is taking previously was occupied by MAC Cosmetics.
