The Harford County Sheriff’s Office has located a 7-year-old boy who they said was abducted Monday morning near Churchville Elementary School.

Police said the child was last seen around 8:35 a.m., in the area of 2935 Level Road in Churchville. Police said the boy entered a gray, four-door Nissan Altima with an Ohio license plate driven by an unknown man.

At about 3 p.m. Monday, the sheriff’s office posted on X that the boy had been located. Cristie Hopkins, public information officer for the sheriff’s office, said the child would be reunited with his father and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The Harford County State’s Attorney will review the investigation and determine whether any charges are appropriate. Police said they believe the man who took the child is related to the boy, but would not elaborate on the relationship.
