Post Malone and Doja Cat, two of pop music’s biggest stars, will headline this year’s Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park on Sept. 28, as organizers focus on mobilizing young people to help address the world’s pressing problems.

Global Citizen has long partnered with major artists — from Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Queen, Stevie Wonder and Ed Sheeran — to generate attention that it can turn into audience actions that lobby political, corporate and philanthropic leaders to support its initiatives. The nonprofit says its events in the past decade have generated more than $14 billion toward eliminating extreme poverty.

Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans said this year’s headliners have an important connection to young people, who are essential to changing how leaders react to current needs. “Young people have the power to create enormous change when they band together,” he said.

Malone embodies that sentiment in his music. His single “Pour Me a Drink” is a duet with Blake Shelton. He has also teamed up with Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Morgan Wallen.

Doja Cat is also known for her collaborations. “We all have a part we can play to help end extreme poverty and stand up for equity,” Doja Cat said in a statement.

Tickets for the festival, which will also feature country star Jelly Roll and Puerto Rican rapper Rauw Alejandro, are free. But they require taking action — generally involving writing to global leaders or posting on social media.

McKellen in ‘good spirits’ after fall: Actor Ian McKellen is expected to make a full recovery after he toppled off a London stage during a fight scene and was hospitalized, producers said. McKellen, 85, was in “good spirits” after doctors said he was expected to fully recover from the fall Monday, the production said.

McKellen was playing John Falstaff in “Player Kings,” an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s two “Henry IV” plays. Theatergoers were startled when McKellen lost his footing and fell off the stage. Staff and two doctors in the audience helped the actor, the theater said.

McKellen was expected to return Wednesday to the play.

Timberlake arrested, charged with DWI: Pop star Justin Timberlake was charged early Tuesday with drunken driving in a village in New York’s Hamptons, after police said he ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane.

Timerlake was driving a 2025 BMW in Sag Harbor around 12:30 a.m. when an officer stopped him and determined he was intoxicated, according to a court document.

After being arrested and taken to a police station in nearby East Hampton, Timberlake, 43, refused a breath test, said the court papers. He was released without bond Tuesday after being arraigned. He was charged with a driving- while-intoxicated misdemeanor, and his next court date was scheduled for July 26, the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said.
