Following an 18-month, $14 million renovation, the Shriver Hall Concert Series will return March 3 to the venue that gave the popular music program its name.

The organization announced Wednesday in a news release that the opening recital in its refurbished home at 3400 N. Charles St. will be performed by cellist Johannes Moser making his Baltimore recital debut along with pianist Till Fellner.

Exterior changes blend that tradition with more recent stylistic innovations. The bricks on the hall’s facade have been stripped of paint, and the cupola has been restored, the release said, while visitors will enter through new glass doors.

Music lovers will notice a new stage floor and improved lighting.

The concert will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3 at Shriver Hall, 3400 N. Charles St. Tickets cost $42 for the public and $10 for students. To order, call 410-516-7164 or go to shriverconcerts.org/moser.
