Three people were sent to hospitals Tuesday morning after two separate crashes on southbound Interstate 95, according to Maryland State Police.

The crashes, which occurred about an hour apart and 3.5 miles away from each other, also led to multiple lane closures on I-95. Most lanes had reopened by around 9 a.m.

Troopers were first dispatched at 7 a.m. to a crash near the bridge over Big Gunpowder Falls in Baltimore County, a state police spokesperson said. One person was taken to a hospital with injuries.

Police later responded at 8 a.m. to a crash farther north on I-95, near Maryland Route 152. Two people were taken by ambulance to a hospital for their injuries.

A total of 10 cars were involved across both crashes, according to police.
