A Baltimore man has pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree sex offense in connection with separate incidents over a two-year period, the state's attorney's office said.

Michael Privette's DNA was connected to the sexual assaults of four women, the office said. Privette, 23, faces 40 years in prison and is scheduled for sentencing in September.

The first attack occurred in July 2013, when prosecutors said Privette sexually assaulted a woman in the 900 block of N. Dukeland St.

He was giving a woman a ride as an unlicensed taxi when he pulled out a knife, placing it on the woman's throat. The woman was forced into a vacant house, where she was assaulted, the office said.

Less than three weeks later, Privette raped another woman at a bus stop near West Baltimore and North Hilton streets, prosecutors said.

The woman was forced across the street and into an alley, where the rape occurred.

In August 2015, Privette sexually assaulted a woman in Bolton Hill while she was jogging, prosecutors said. The woman was forced into a car.

After sexually assaulting the jogger, prosecutors said, he took her back to her apartment and stole $40.

The fourth attack also occurred in August 2015. A woman was walking to a bus stop from a friend's home near Parksley Street and Frederick Avenue about 10 p.m., when Privette grabbed her from behind, prosecutors said.

She was raped at knifepoint, prosecutors said.

State's Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said in a statement that she will continue to push for legislation to make previous sex crimes admissible in court.

“This serial predator has absolutely no place in our community,” she said.
