Scenic Rivers Land Trust’s Healthy Forests Program engages community volunteers to help protect long-term vitality of conservation easement. Workday focuses on plants that are easily visible in the fall. Volunteers work on designated trail sections to remove specific invasive plant species. Volunteers will be trained in how to identify and remove plants. Work gloves and tools can be provided; volunteers may bring own gear. Volunteers must 16 years or older to attend without supervising adult; ages 10-15 with adult. Be able to hike up to 1 mile to get to designated work areas. Register online.
