The White House issued a response after several online commenters mocked House Democrats for participating in a viral TikTok trend.

The video features TikToker Sulhee Jessica Woo alongside lawmakers including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, and Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas. In the clip, the lawmakers imitate the selection screen in a fighting video game by posing in a combat stance while text lists their fighter attributes.

After releasing the “choose your fighter” video, the lawmakers were subject to widespread mockery across X.

Reacting to the controversy, the White House issued its own video set to the “choose your fighter music.” The video shows footage of members of the Trump administration with the caption “America chose its fighters last November.”

“Hey @HouseDemocrats, we fixed this for you!” the White House jeered.

Commenters cheered the response as a win for conservatives.

“Let’s go!” the Alaska GOP account wrote.

“I don’t miss Biden,” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, wrote. “What about you?”

Also sharing her opinion on the original Democratic video was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.

“Trump Deranged Democrats release ‘choose your fighter skit’ after refusing to stand and clap for a child with cancer during President Trump’s address to congress,” Greene wrote. “Democrats have sunk so low that I’m actually starting to feel sorry for them. Pitiful.”

House Speaker Mike Johnson also shared his reaction during an appearance on Fox News.

“We don’t do dance videos,” he said. “That is so cringeworthy. To Democrats now, politics is a performance art, it’s like a performative art, but if that’s the performance please continue to do that because as the leading campaigner for House Republicans, I’d like to see more of that from them, that’s fantastic.”

Social media users also targeted Democrats over a series of videos that appeared to have been created using the same script. The videos, shared on X by at least 22 senators, each used the same verbatim script and interstitial video to argue that President Donald Trump’s actions are exacerbating inflation.
