Brooke McCormick hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh inning to power No. 14 Glen Burnie to a come-from-behind 7-4 upset of No. 2 Arundel on Thursday.
The Gophers and host Wildcats are 2-1.
Hannah Eslick and Shaianne Turner each had a home run for Glen Burnie, which trailed 4-3 going into the final inning. Cheyenne Starr drove in a pair of runs, and Katie Rosati homered for Arundel.
No. 1 Archbishop Spalding 6, McDonogh 2: Katie Seidl struck out five and drove in two runs as the host Cavaliers (3-0, 3-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference) beat the Eagles (2-2, 2-1).
Spalding scored three runs in the first inning and rolled.
No. 6 C. Milton Wright 6, Harford Tech 0: Winning pitcher Morghan Fulton threw a six-hit shutout and the visiting Mustangs (3-0) cruised past the Cobras (3-2).
Severna Park 10, Northeast 9: The host Falcons (4-1) scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on to beat the Eagles (2-1).
Haley Simonds worked seven innings for the win.
Boys lacrosse
No. 10 Hereford 16, Patterson Mill 2: Matt Lewis (four goals, two assists), Carl Quattrocche (three goals, two assists) and J.D. Nozemack (three goals, two assists) led the host Bulls (5-0) past the Huskies (1-2).
Baseball
No. 4 Severna Park 9, Northeast 0: Spencer Dietrich allowed no runs on four hits in five innings, while Stephen Boushell had two hits, including a home run, and reached base three times as the Falcons (3-1) shut out the Eagles (2-3).

South River 10, Meade 0: Winning pitcher Eric Sieber worked six innings, walked three and struck out five as the host Seahawks (4-1) shut out the Mustangs (1-3).
South River's Ethan Falsone (2-for-4) had the only extra-base hit of the game, a triple.
C. Milton Wright 6, Harford Tech 1: Right-hander Tyler Hickey (2-0) gave up one run on four hits in four innings and struck out four as the visiting Mustangs (3-1) beat the Cobras (4-1).
Catonsville 11, Lansdowne 1: Jake Parrott allowed one run and three hits in 4 1/3 innings while striking out six as the host Comets (1-2) upended the Vikings (2-2).
Jake Getzendanner, Kevin Deitz and Jack Harrell had two hits each, and Brent Johns had a two-run triple for the Comets.
