Three Darlington residents have been arrested in connection with an alleged assault and kidnapping on March 10.
Maryland State Police charged Chris Cochran, 48, Grace Johnson, 38, and Leland Lewis, 48, with first- and second-degree assault and false imprisonment in the incident, according to a news release from the Bel Air barrack. Cochran was also charged with kidnapping, and Lewis with reckless endangerment.
On the morning of March 10, state police received a report of a man “with his hands bound behind his back running down the middle of the road” in the 4200 block of Conowingo Road in Darlington. The man told police he had been assaulted and was being held captive nearby before escaping that morning. The man, who police did not identify, was airlifted to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
Police identified Cochran, Johnson and Lewis as suspects and said Monday that the case remains under investigation. All three are being held without bail and have preliminary hearings scheduled for next month in Harford County District Court.
