Get ready for a very Maryland-centric “Project Runway” when the reality show’s 17th season premieres March 14 on Bravo.

Annapolis native and fashion designer Christian Siriano returns to the show this year in the role of mentor — previously held by Tim Gunn.

“I have dressed nine women for the Emmy’s [2016]. Hopefully I can help them,” Siriano said last week about this year’s crop of designers. This season will feature a slew of new changes for the fashion-based reality show. In addition to the departure of mainstays Gunn and Heidi Klum, this season will feature an increased grand prize of $250,000, as well as guest stars who include Cardi B and Kendall Jenner. New judges include designer Brandon Maxwell and Elaine Welteroth, former editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue.

If the lure of Siriano isn’t enough to excite Marylanders, one of the contestants is from Baltimore.

Bishme Cromartie, a self-taught designer from Baltimore, will put his skills up against the other 15 competitors. In a 2012 interview with The Sun, he discussed how getting rejected from the famed Fashion Institute of Technology in New York fueled his rise.
