Investigators said a meet-up for an online modeling gig turned into an attempted murder earlier this month in southeast Baltimore. And now U.S. Marshals Service agents have joined the search for the suspect.

Tavaughn Lee, 32, of West Palm Beach, Florida, is facing several charges including second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and theft.

Investigators say Lee ran over a woman with an SUV on Feb. 13 after a collaboration for the adult-content website “OnlyFans” ended. The woman called 911 around 8 p.m. that night from a local truck stop at 5501 O’Donnell Street Cut Off, off Interstate 95, and reported she had been run over, police reported.

The woman told investigators she met Lee, one of her OnlyFans customers, at the Executive Inn after they discussed creating content together.

The woman said she had just met Lee and that he had hired her for some online modeling work.

The woman told police she got into the man’s SUV but became nervous when he began “driving to unknown locations” and asked to be let out of the vehicle.

According to the statement of charges, the man stopped the vehicle in the O’Donnell Street parking lot, and the two began arguing as she was collecting her belongings from inside the vehicle.

Investigators said the woman told the detective while she was halfway outside of the SUV the man suddenly put the vehicle in reverse and backed into a tree. She said the impact flung her to the ground, and the man then drove over her as he left the scene with her belongings, including her cat.

Responding officers and medics found the woman with injuries to her left side, according to the statement of charges.

The woman was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where a detective later responded to interview her. She gave the detective the man’s phone number, as well as a credit card she had removed from the cup holder of the vehicle, according to the statement of charges.

Investigators said the phone number came back to the name Tavaughn Lee, the same name that appeared on the credit card. According to the statement of charges, the detective created a photo array and the woman identified Tavaughn Lee as the subject in this case.

“It’s important that we track down Lee so he can answer to this crime,” said Al Maresca, Deputy Marshal with the U.S. Marshals Service. “These are very serious charges; therefore, it is in the interest of public safety to locate him.”

Lee is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Anyone with information on Lee’s whereabouts is asked to contact the US Marshals Service at 202-819-5058.
