Annapolis Restaurant Week returns next month, and three new businesses will join the lineup.

The event, now in its 17th year, is put on by the Downtown Annapolis Business Partnership. The nonprofit runs several activities throughout the year, including the yearly late-night holiday shopping Midnight Madness. Annapolis Restaurant Week “showcase[s] the diverse culinary talent that defines Annapolis, offering guests the opportunity to experience exceptional meals at discounted prices,” according to a news release.

Though the full list of participating restaurants is not yet available, around 35 restaurants are expected to be included, according to a news release.

Luna Blu, an Italian restaurant on West Street, is returning. Three new restaurants have already signed up including Chessie’s Wharf, Urbano and Pearl, according to Erik Evans, the Downtown Annapolis Business Partnership’s executive director. All three opened last year.

Pearl opened in the downtown historic area on Market Space with a menu influenced by French Caribbean and Pacific Islander cuisine.

Chessie’s Wharf, on Melvin Avenue in Annapolis, is the latest creation of Cambridge-based RaR Brewing, started by Chris Brohawn in 2013. Brohawn has since expanded to Chessie’s Burger, the Labratory a cocktail lounge, and the Dive Club, a Caribbean-themed bar and restaurant. All are on Poplar Street in Cambridge.

“I think we were just a little overwhelmed with coming to Annapolis, and that first couple months. The city of Annapolis was very exciting for us … and we were bombarded in the best way, every day open to close,” Lauren Cameron, general manager of Chessie’s Wharf, said about why the restaurant did not participate last year.

Urbano, an Alexandria-based Mexican restaurant with an outpost in the Annapolis Town Center, will be offering a three-course dinner special including an appetizer, main course and dessert.

“We’re not going to be offering anything that we don’t offer all the time. I want people to see that this is what Urbano’s experiences are like every single day,” said Melanie Woodham, marketing manager.
