The stars shined on the red carpet at the 88th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

For film and fashion's biggest night, embellished dresses and unusual colors like butter yellow and aquamarine were trending, but for straight up glamour, Charlize Theron stole the show in red-hot Dior dress with a plunging neckline.

“It” girls Brie Larson and Alicia Vikander turned heads wearing stunning looks from Gucci and Louis Vuitton, and Kerry Washington shined in an edgy Atelier Versace dress with a leather bodice.
