Terrell Allen made a pull-up jumper with 25 seconds left to give Drexel a 57-56 victory over Elon on Friday night in a Colonial Athletic Association tournament opener at Royal Farms Arena.

Tavon Allen hit five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points to lead the ninth-seeded Dragons (6-24, 3-15), who move on to face top-seeded Hofstra today. Terrell Allen finished with 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting.

Luke Eddy had 11 points for No. 8 seed Elon (16-16, 7-11). Eddy split a pair of free throws to give the Phoenix its last lead, 56-55, with 56 seconds remaining. Allen made his jump shot from the foul line, and then Eddy missed a jumper and Sammy Mojica grabbed the rebound with eight seconds to play to seal the win.

The Dragons have won three of four since ending an 11-game skid.

College of Charleston 67, Delaware 63: Payton Hulsey scored 18 points and Cameron Johnson blocked a potential game-tying field goal with three seconds left to lead the seventh-seeded Cougars (17-13, 9-10) over the 10th-seeded Blue Hens (7-23, 2-17).

Kory Holden had a game-high 30 points and Skye Johnson added 15 points on 7-for-8 shooting from the field for Delaware. Only five players scored for the Blue Hens.

Evan Bailey and Jarrell Brantley scored 13 points apiece for Charleston, which finished with 14 steals.
