¦ Rockies: Charlie Blackmon hit a tiebreaking two-run homer in the ninth to spark a 7-6 victory over the Braves. D.J. LeMahieu added two solo homers and Trevor Story had a two-run double. The Rockies hold the second NL wild card.

¦ Diamondbacks: A.J. Pollock and J.D. Martinez homered off Madison Bumgarner for a 2-1 win over the Giants. The NL wildcard leaders have won four of five. Bumgarner struck out seven, yielding five hits in seven innings.

¦ Cardinals: Tommy Pham’s two-run shot was his first career walk-off homer in a 6-4 victory over the Rays. Yadier Molina had an RBI single and an RBI double.

¦ Orioles: Kevin Gausman (10-9) allowed four singles in 7 2 /3 innings and Tim Beckham hit a three-run homer in a 7-0 shutout of the Red Sox. Jonathan Schoop also homered in the Orioles’ third straight victory. The AL Eastleading Red Sox dropped their third straight.

¦ Nationals: Rookie Adrian Sanchez drove in three runs and Adam Lind two to pace a 9-4 win over the Mets. Michael A.Taylor went 3-for-4, and Gio Gonzalez (13-5) gaveup tworuns on six hits in 6 2 /3 innings.

¦ Pirates: Gerrit Cole ended his career-long futility against the Reds by pitching seven innings and hitting a solo home run in a 1-0 victory. Cole (11-8) had been 0-6 against the Reds in nine starts. He gave up five hits, walked none and struck outsix.

¦ Blue Jays: Josh Donaldson hit a two-run homer in a 10-9 win over the Twins. Max Kepler hit a grand slam and Eduardo Escobar a two-run homer for the Twins, the second AL wild-card team.
