Before Baltimore County adopts its budget for the 2026 fiscal year, residents will have multiple opportunities to weigh in publicly on the proposal.
According to the county website, seven town hall meetings — one for each county council district — will “provide a forum for public discussion focused on future budget priorities and ensure that community members have the opportunity to provide input into the budget planning process.”
Each meeting will consist of a “community cabinet open house” session, during which representatives of various county departments will host individual tables to engage with residents.
New Baltimore County Executive Kathy Klausmeier and other senior leaders will hold town halls about the budget process.
The meetings will be livestreamed via the county government’s official YouTube page for those who cannot attend in person, according to the site.
Klausmeier, a Democrat, must submit her proposed budget to the seven-member county council by April 16.
Democrats currently hold a 4-3 advantage on the council, which will expand to nine members following the November 2026 elections.

The seven meetings will be held on the following dates at the following locations. All community cabinet open house sessions will run from 6 to 7 p.m., while town hall presentations will follow from 7 to 8 p.m.
